Thought of this idea after viewing a bunch of different natural hidden wonders in the world. Would be great to set the backdrop of this story in a mythical place similar to iceland.
-3 warriors with different motives set out to find a new land for their famine and war torn village on the other side of a hostile island territory.
Main star-He's Doing this to help save his village, he's slightly crippled from battle, but he's looked up upon by the lower class of the village. Played by some raw older actor. Sean Bean or Gary Oldman?
Second warrior-He's the kings son and he wants to claim the throne for his own, so he sets off on this journey so he can take all the glory for finding a new place to settle and rule the new town. He's a spoiled brat that has never seen battle so he's gonna have a tough time. Probably played a young guy, someone like guy pearce.
Third warrior-This dude is a spy from the hostile territory. He's been in the town for a couple of years and he's fought a lot of battles for the community, but he's that asshole who always tips off the enemies on the plans of the community. He would be played by some uknown but really crazy fucker.
The king would be played by an uknown or a really old actor like Geoffrey rush or something.

The Peaks
It's my dream to make a hockey film. It's rare to see a hockey feature film that's serious and true to the sport. I want to make that film. My original idea was to write a script about how the jets came back and became insignificant within a decade and struggle to keep the franchise only to have someone save it. Unfortunately, the jets are already back. so i'm going to create my own team.
The Seattle Peaks. Created around the same time as the thrashers. The first couple years were prosperous, but a very irresponsible general manager made a lot of really stupid moves and the team never really had a star except for one, their captain from the beginning until 2 years before this story starts. Jason Rawski.
Jason Rawski is a lot like Trevor Linden. He wasn't the best at the sport, but he had a lot of heart and gave it his all in every game. The general manager threw a lot of money towards old rusty stars to try and bring star power to the team, but similar to the ranger sydrome, the stars faded and died in Seattle. Rawski never registered more then 70 points and always had a minus rating. But he was the only player to stick with the team for more then 3 years(stuck with it for 7 years.) He never got along with the gm and owner Andrew Gilbrovski, because Andrew knew fuck all about sports but he had a shit ton of money and invested it in these fading stars. On his 7th season Rawski got hit from behind into the boards and broke his neck and suffered a concussion. He wasn't resigned that year and retired. He became a coach for a minor league team.
Andrew Gilbrovski created the team in 2000 because he loved hockey and wanted to see it thrive in Seattle. When he got the team he traded away the first 3 years worth of draft picks for a high scoring incredibly expensive winger named Johnathan Grilveau who ended up breaking a leg in the first season and never recovering. Gilbrovski sunk tons of money on terrible decisions, signing goalie Trevor Richter to a 8 year 70 million year deal after 2 incredibly meh seasons. Trevor Richter is still the goalie, now 34. Hasn't won more then 30 games in a season and he has issues with his foot. Gilbrovski lost more then 200 million on the team and finally sold it to Grilveau.
So here is where we start the film, Grilveau just bought the team which just had one of the worst seasons ever in NHL history(12-65-5) Unfortunatly they traded away their first round pick for Colin Waynes. A calder winning center who won 2 cups with two different teams but failed to connect with the Peaks because of his cockyness. Grilveau interviews a few gm's and hears their pitches to fix the team, all of which are financial based and have a lot to do with spending to the cap, which Grilveau isn't willing to do. They go to Rawski and he gives them a simple pitch, let him be the coach and manage the team. Rawski's first move is to gather a group of aggressive young forwards(Chris Neil, Sean Avery, Brian Boyle)and and an experienced shut down defenseman(Micheal Rosival). He then switches the team from a defensive minded team to an aggressive offensive team.
At the start of the season Rawski makes a lot of big changes, he takes away the captaincy from Colin Waynes and gives it to the second longest player on the team(Rich Peverly). Colin Waynes makes some big whiney scenes until he gets cheap shotted and complains about it and the entire team turns their backs on him. Waynes then requests a trade and Rawski puts him on the trading block, but no one wants him. Half way through the season Rawski sees an opportunity to win with one of his players in the minors, someone just as good lemeiux, in fact they are related. Gabriel Scarlast managed to bring his team(that rawski coached) to the memorial cup the year before. Scarlast gets drafted this next season so Rawski decides to make the team lose on purpose. He also gets word from a young star that played with the peaks with Rawski until Gillbrovski traded him for another crap star(Micheal Grabner). At the halfway point the team is 10th in their conferance and the playoffs could possibly happen, but Rawski wants this team to win in the longterm so he proposes to the team that they lose on purpose so they can get the first round pick in Scarlast.
The small amount of fans left get annoyed with the play, and Grilveau gets mad at the idea as he loses a shitload of money. The last place position becomes determined by the last game, which is against the 29th place team. The team loses in an epic and slightly comedic fashion and in the offseason they get Grabner and Scarlast. They don't sign Waynes, but nobody else does either because of his poor play and terrible scandles. Grilveau tells Rawski that if they don't get to the playoffs this year the team is gone, going to Kansas. Rawski promises to get the team to the finals, and so does his two new stars.
The year begins with a huge up, 12 wins in a row. Scarlast and Grabner both get 15 points each. But disaster strikes as Richter(the goalie) gets a career ending injury. The backup can't handle the pressure so they have to resort to a 42 year old goalie from the minors who played on the team in the first season named Cosev. Surprisingly he gets 2 shutouts in a row. The fans return and the team becomes a contender. But Grabner gets injured and the team begins to falter. Waynes goes unsigned until the middle of the season when he pleas to join the team again as he has thought about his ignorance and promises to change. Waynes gets signed again and the team goes on to get into the 7th position of the playoffs. But Grilveau sells the team to a different market anyway as he lost way to much money even with the new fan base, it's too little and too soon. The team is due to relocate unless the team sells out every playoff game until the end of the playoffs, and they need to atleast play 10 home games to break even.
Grabner gets better, and the team plays it risky and purposely gets 3 home games in the first round. Unfortunately, they play against the cup contenders the next round. The teams main defender gets in an altercation that causes some incredibly bad publicity and gives him a 12 game suspension. The team becomes down 3-0. but they play 3 really close games and win the last one in triple overtime.
They get to the conferance finals where they bring it to game 7 where the last game is won with a penalty shot goal by the opponents team. Grilveau sets out a plan to get the team to stay and Rawski wins the best coaching award.

Delivery
Been getting a few new ideas lately. Got this one today, I'm not sure if it can work very well as a film but I'm going to give it a shot with this blog post.
Jeremy is a 29 year old courier. He has a 14 year old daughter he had when he was a teenager and a wife that cheats on him. He lives on a ranch that is a 2 hour drive from where he normally lives(downtown) because it's cheaper and the safest place to raise his kid. For his work he drives a 1992 civic si with some slight modifications. He's worked as a courier since he was 18 with the same exact car. And the car is reaching it's ends. He takes it to the shop and the costs outweigh the price of the car to sell. So he ignores the repairs and ends up paying for it, the civic starts on fire in the middle of the street after he rear ended a porsche. The porsche starts on fire as well and the driver sues him for it.
After dealing with a court case and hiring a lawyer Jeremy returns to his home and his wife files for divorce and demands custody of their child. Jeremy didn't see this coming and discusses his entire situation with two of his courier friends, one drives a truck and one rides a bike. The cyclist suggests moving into the city and riding a bike from a to b, the van driver tells him to apply for his class 1 and become a truck driver. For the time being, Jeremy stays with his cyclist friend in his hipster den with his 3 hipster roomates. Hesitant to cope with the bicycle Jeremy takes the week off to get his kid back and figure out a new living situation. Unfortunately, his now ex wife is already dating a super rich guy who lives downtown and she gave him a high priced lawyer, while Jeremy uses his defence attorney from his car accident case. Obviously, his wife gets custody and Jeremy only gets to see her for the weekend. After that Jeremy goes to find a place to live with an extra room while having it close to the downtown area so he can continue work on a bicycle. But then jeremy confronts his cyclist friend that he cannot ride a bike, and some lulz happen when the cyclist teaches jeremy how to ride a bike. After getting the hang of it Jeremy starts to do deliveries and finds out that he cannot rent a house in his price range so he ends up living with a bunch of mexicans in the exact same building as his ex wife's boyfriend. His ex wife still stays at the house with the kid. After awhile Jeremy starts to realize he will never be in good amount of shape to cut it as a bike courier, so he decides to use his last remaining savings to get a class 1 license. Through a miraculous feat Jeremy gets a drunk recently divorced instructor for his test. Hilarity ensues and Jeremy passes his test. Jeremy hangs out with his daughter for the first time since the split. They discuss his antics and her antics and generally have a heart to heart and she tries to convince Jeremy to go in a different direction other then courier services, since they are making his life incredibly difficult. On his first shift as a truck driver Jeremy has to go through a dangerous mountain path and ends up rolling the truck into a ravine in a hilarious fashion. Obviously Jeremy loses his job and goes back to the courier service, he earned enough from his one shift as a truck driver to get a newish car for his old job. He ends up with what looks like an awesome sports car, but it ends up starting on fire during a test drive and the dealership tries to sue Jeremy but Jeremy wins the case, but loses his license and ends up kicked out of the Mexican apartment.
Jeremy ends up back at the cyclists house and stays the night. The next day Jeremy goes and blames his civic for letting him down. Jeremy finally gets frustrated and unleashes his fury on the vehicle. It then occurs to him that he should finally do what he loves and go to school to become a transportational engineer to make sure his problems are never met with other drivers ever again. He goes for the interview and goes through all of his issues with the transportation system and how he would change them. He gets accepted and goes for a night out with all of his buddies, he admits that it was foolish not to move on from the courier path he chose several years ago, and he gets his an agreeance with his lawyer to get his licence back, but he opts to bike instead. In the closing shot he bikes along with his daughter, although he's slow as shit and nearly dieing from exhaustion.
The end is a bit weak... But I'll further realize this as time goes by.

Traffic laws
I'm just gonna display some facts of the road that seem to be ignored in this city. This is more or less an angry rant...
PEDESTRIANS
-If you wish to cross a crosswalk stand at the curb and wait for the drivers to acknowledge you. And if you wish to cross, then don't stand 4 feet away from the curb and wait for traffic to acknowledge you. This confuses drivers and is generally quite annoying.
-If you are going to cross at an intersection with the flashing green lights then do not cross if the lights are red. This is more often then not the only time a driver will be able to exit that road. If it's all clear then you're good to go. But be courteous. Nothing more annoying then getting an opportunity to get out of the intersection but a slew of ignorant pedestrians block your path.
-If you are waiting for the light to change please do not stand in the street. Even if it's in the gutter you are still at risk of getting hit by vehicles.
-If you wish to jaywalk, don't assume that every lane of traffic will stop for you. Take caution and take into account that what you are doing is illegal and that if drivers get mad at you, they have a right to.
-If a car is trying to get out of an alleyway and onto a busy road where a parking lane obstructs their view then try and walk behind the vehicle if they block off your path. sure it's annoying having a car block the road, but in certain alleyway exits it's impossible to get out of the alleway safely without causing this blockage. In my opinion, this is acceptable as it needs to be done.
CYCLISTS
-If you wish to cycle in a driving lane then do a reasonable speed. If you're struggling to get up a hill and there is a bike lane next to you, use the bike lane. Also, if you wish to bike in traffic lanes then you must respect the basic rules of car traffic. That means you shouldn't be passing vehicles in the same lane as them. Or failing to use signals. Or traveling into oncoming traffic. Or running red lights or going through pedestrian cross walks while people walk in front of you.
-If you wish to cycle on the roads, please wear a helmet. It is incredibly traumatic to see the effects of a head injury caused by vehicles and cyclists meeting. Especially when it could have been prevented.
-If you bike at night on the roads please make sure your bicycle and yourself are visible to the rest of the people on the road. That means having reflectors on the front and back of your vehicle and preferably a light on the front and back as well. I've seen more then a dozen cyclists get mad because they were nearly hit by a car that could not see them because of their lack of lights.
-Do not ride on sidewalks if they are busy or you plan to go fast. This is one of the biggest durps of cycling.
-If you are riding along the curb and you come up to an intersection where cars are turning right, you should go on the left of those cars so they can safely turn without hitting you. Again this applies to the rules of traffic, where if you were treating your bike as a vehicle, you would not be legally able to pass that car in the same lane.
DRIVERS
-If you are making a left turn at a busy intersection where there is pedestrian traffic blocking your turn, don't turn into oncoming traffic and expect the pedestrians to move or wait until they have cleared. You become a sitting duck for oncoming traffic and are seen as an arrogant asshole from the pedestrians point of view.
-If you have just parked along a busy road, look out your mirror for traffic before swinging open your door.
-If you want to make a lane change or get out of a parrellel park, turn on your signal light. Even if there isn't room to make the lane change or time to get out of the spot this will let drivers know that you wish to exit or change lanes and if they are courteous driver they will let you in. Also, if you are getting out of a parellel parking spot and you do not have your signal light on then do not expect drivers to yield or give to shits about you. and if you have it on and you are not ready to leave, then shut that shit off.
-If you see people entering a vehicle in a parallel parking spot and you wish to take their space, do not wait behind them until they leave. You stall traffic, and you cause an inconvenience for the driver who now has to hurry up and get out of the spot to let your impatient ass in. If there is no spots, then keep on going until you see that signal light come on. and if the prick of a driver has that light on and isn't ready to get out of the spot, then honk at him until he shuts it off or gets out of the spot, since you are doing them a convenience by blocking traffic for them.
-If you are looking for a certain destination and are having troubles finding it, then pull over and find it on foot. If you stop at every block and have your eyes constantly on the sidewalk you have a very good chance of hitting something.
-In this city, and most major cities there are signs in some major intersections that have times setup where you cannot turn, or certain vehicles cannot go down certain roads. Obey these signs, as they are 100% properly labelled for the infrastructure of traffic to abide by.
-If you see a lane closure up ahead and you are in the lane that is open, don't change lanes and speed up to the end of the lane then get back in your old lane 3 cars ahead. If you do this, you are an asshole and you might be part of the cause of why some drivers are not very generous towards others.
-Respect buses and big trucks. big trucks are always going to be commercial vehicles and we all depend on them to get our goods and services to the places where they are sold. So be courteous if you see a bus trying to get into your lane, or a dump truck, or a moving van. As these vehicles have a disadvantage because they are bigger and much more difficult to drive then your econoshitbox. But if it's a motorhome, then they can fuck themselves for driving in an urban setting with such an impractical vehicle.
-Big rigs need large spaces to make sharp turns. So if you see a large truck turning and it needs you to move in order to safely turn, or your path is blocked because of this trucks turn, then be courteous and if you have the space, let them through. You have no idea how difficult it is to turn a big rig on a 2 lane grid road without hitting the curbs, and waiting for everything to be clear can sometimes be next to impossible.
-If you are towing something, make sure it's lights work before heading out on the highway... And make sure everything is SAFELY latched down.
-Don't speed in schoolzones while school in session. This is a pretty basic rule, yet it gets violated by almost everyone. young human beings don't have the understandings of us adults. They sometimes get carried away in their activities or they do not know how to judge the speeds of vehicles, or they like to fuck with drivers and run across the road while playing some crazy daredevil game....don't trust them.
-Slow down in construction zones as well. Sometimes the construction companies can only shut down so much space of the road, which leaves them very little room to work in. And they need to concentrate on their job before they concentrate on the traffic.
-If you are at a busy intersection and the light is red and you wish to turn right, do not pass the bold white line until pedestrian traffic is ENTIRELY gone. If you move up after the pedestrians beside you leave then you still have to wait for the ones coming from the other side of the road. These people probably deserve some of the biggest fuck you's from pedestrians, especially ones with strollers.
-If you are turning right at an intersection and there is an empty lane and you are driving a vehicle small enough to make that turn in that lane THEN GET IN THAT LANE. If you are still in the lane beside that lane or in the middle of both then you are an asshole and you deserve to be rear ended or your mirror ripped off.
-If you are driving down a busy grid road system where there is not a lot of turning lanes then it is fastest to stay in the middle lane and switch lanes one or two blocks from your destined turn. If you wish to stay in the right lane or the left lane and you switch lanes every time someone is turning then switch back into that lane and continue on for another 20 blocks... Then you're an asshole....
-If you do end up stuck behind one of these cars turning and you wish to change lanes make sure it's safe. Aggressive driving causes accidents, and if you're just gonna switch back into that lane to continue on then you're an asshole...
-If you are driving in a parking lot then follow the arrows. in almost every parking lot there is a one way direction built into the infrastructure of the parking lot. That means, it will work fluently if everyone obeys the one way rule. but if you disobey that and block the entire road or go down the wrong way, then you're an asshole.

Street racing idea
Did a quick beatsheet for this on 4chan. might as well keep it because it has potential. I'll edit it later for a inktip pitch.
-Teenaged gear head, works at a shop for a low wage, lives with mom and dad who both barely slip by, drives a shitty civic and he's too embarrassed to race it. He has some gearhead friends who don't race and are specifically enthusiasts and a girlfriend who he is having a baby with.
-Dad dies and teenager inherits dads weekend car(Insert somewhat expensive tuner here, NSX??)
-while cruising along one day he gets in a race with a gang member, teenager wins and the gang member asks if he races elsewhere. He then invites him to a race in a construction site.
-Teenager races and wins like a mutherfucker. Gang member almost pay up but cops interupt, everyone scatters.
-Next day teenager goes to gang member to see about the winnings, nearly gets his ass shot by other gang members, the one he races stops the violence and gives him the race and ask if he would like to work for their garage. Teenager accepts and starts working for their hardcore illegally owned and operated garage where they chop cars and rice out everything from crx's to bentley's.
-Teenager starts to ignore his new born baby, his friends, and his mom. Eventually ends up living with the gangsters. He continues to race and win like a champ, he gets a reputation for being an asshole driver so a rival gang racer starts to tail him after his work and while on the highway, purposely crashes into him and tells him to leave town.
-teenager gets scared and tells gangsters what happen, they light the rival gangster racers car on fire as payback.
-Teenager gets a new better tuner(gt-r?) But it's stolen. Teenager ends up getting pulled over and arrested.
-Teenager is given an ultimatum with police, be a rat or do time. Teenager decides to do time. Goes to jail for a year, girlfriend leaves him, friends abandon him, mother gives up on him.
-Once released he goes back to the gang to continue racing. He races like shit and blames it on the fact that he should lay low. The gangsters get suspicious that he might have ratted so they test him by driving with him into oncoming traffic. He says he doesn't wanna get caught again, but he doesn't wanna give up the street racing ways. The gangsters give him some time on the track and he gets progressively better. He then goes back to racing and wins.
-police break into his house again and confiscate his car and bargain with him and open his eyes that the gangster life isn't for him. He tells the cops to leave and that they don't have anything on him.
-The next day the teenager goes to his girlfriend and asks if he gave up everything would he take him back, she is unsure, but his friends tell him that it's the best idea to get out of the gangster world.
-That night he goes on a mission as a driver with the gangster leader, while on the mission the teenager finds out that he is going to get assassinated because of police suspicion and that he might be a rat. The teenager gets in a chase with the gangsters, in the end he kills the main gangster but gets shot himself.
-After all of the legal stuff is out of the way and the wound has healed the teenager goes back to being a grease monkey, driving his shitty honda and loving his wife and mother.

Low Level(characters)
I randomly started writing this script because I wanted to put a bunch of awesome long takes in one movie, so the first two scenes are like 3 pages long each and both feature epicnessity. I might aswell do a beat sheet or something because this seems like a really wacky and cool idea.
CHARACTERS
Tom Wilson-A modern samurai who also deals with explosives and is a talented driver. He prefers surviving off nature instead of living as part of society. He kidnapped Angelina after years of being in love with her, he is going to die to protect her. Tom used to be a body guard for Oniks, but he's turned sides.
ONIKS-This is the main bad guy, he's a ruthless not giving a fuck kingpin drug dealer. He's looking for Kevin who he was told kidnapped his daughter. If someone calls him by his first name he snaps. He was also taking advantage of his daughter for his own profit after she became a talented musician and artist.
Kevin-another of the bad guys. He was setup by Tom because he tried to rape Angelina when she was younger. Kevin is a drug grower with two adopted incredibly violent kids. He's an incredibly thin lazy hippy.
Angelina-A very talented artist and musician who wanted to get away from it all, she's loved Tom for a very long time and wants to live with him forever. Her father is very abusive to her and Kevin once tried to rape her but Tom saved him.
Xander Conners-Adopted son of Kevin. He's an ecentric trigger happy uber insane russian. He and his brother were both bodyguards with Tom. They took a massive amount of money to help Tom steal a painting from Oniks. He has a sweat spot for cats and he spends money like a rock star.
Sir Oliver-Brother of Xander and adopted son of Kevin. He's just as trigger happy as his brother but he prefers making his victims suffer instead of his brothers rash decisions. He's the brighter of the two, although they are both incredibly stupid and terrible destructive.
These are the main characters so far.. I'm tired so I'll leave it on that and contemplate this idea further. But the simple premise is that Oniks is on the desperate search for Sir Oliver and Xander who he was told kidnapped his daughter, but to find them he must find Kevin, after finding all of them together he kills Kevin then teams up with Xander and Sir Oliver to find Tom and kill him and save Angelina, but what Oniks is really after is an incredibly expensive painting she made.
-Oniks goes to a greasy hotel and tries to find out where Kevin is by asking his crackhead wife. The wife refuses to answer and oniks kills her and drives off.
-Tom and Angelina are settling into their new surroundings, a massive log cabin. Tom destroys all of the electronics and slices a large painting made by angelina. Tom guarantees her safety and tells her she can live without having to worry about her father or the world hassling her. She is happy to be an artist without boundaries.
-Xander and Oliver are crashing their vehicles on a farm. They clearly have a large amount of money and they aren't shy with spending it. Kevin is inside the house and he is having sex with a large amount of women, they're living the dream life.
-Oniks goes back to his mansion and rests. The next morning he packs up a suitcase and lights the house on fire. He goes to his accountants house, Travis. A somewhat honest banker who handles Oniks financial investments. Travis has a wife and kids who are currently away. Oniks explains the situation, that he sold a very valuable painting and the money along with the painting were stolen along with his daughter. Oniks has decided to claim the insurance on his house in order to make up the money. Travis settles him down and makes him realize that he will probably be investigated by the IRA because he doesn't do his taxes because he's a gangster. Oniks then goes on a rampage and ends up leaving the house in a fit of fury, but before he does he tells Travis to track down Kevin. Travis tells Oniks that he should try searching the streets, since Kevin is a pretty candid drug and prostitute client.
-Oniks goes to the street, he sees Kevin picking up a prostitute and tails him. But while tailing him Oniks is cut off by a women on her phone. Pissed off, Oniks kills the women and crashes into her car. Kevin gets spooked and runs away. Oniks freaks out and takes the dead women out of the car and beats her violently.
-Tom and Angelina discuss there future while picking vegetables from the garden. Eventually Angelina starts to realize that she does not have some of the liberties she once enjoyed, like seeing her friends, and letting the world seeing her paintings. But she continues to love Tom for his grace and wisdom and saving her from her tyrant father.
