100th post

Thought of this idea after viewing a bunch of different natural hidden wonders in the world. Would be great to set the backdrop of this story in a mythical place similar to iceland.

-3 warriors with different motives set out to find a new land for their famine and war torn village on the other side of a hostile island territory.

Main star-He's Doing this to help save his village, he's slightly crippled from battle, but he's looked up upon by the lower class of the village. Played by some raw older actor. Sean Bean or Gary Oldman?

Second warrior-He's the kings son and he wants to claim the throne for his own, so he sets off on this journey so he can take all the glory for finding a new place to settle and rule the new town. He's a spoiled brat that has never seen battle so he's gonna have a tough time. Probably played a young guy, someone like guy pearce.

Third warrior-This dude is a spy from the hostile territory. He's been in the town for a couple of years and he's fought a lot of battles for the community, but he's that asshole who always tips off the enemies on the plans of the community. He would be played by some uknown but really crazy fucker.

The king would be played by an uknown or a really old actor like Geoffrey rush or something.

The Peaks

It's my dream to make a hockey film. It's rare to see a hockey feature film that's serious and true to the sport. I want to make that film. My original idea was to write a script about how the jets came back and became insignificant within a decade and struggle to keep the franchise only to have someone save it. Unfortunately, the jets are already back. so i'm going to create my own team.

The Seattle Peaks. Created around the same time as the thrashers. The first couple years were prosperous, but a very irresponsible general manager made a lot of really stupid moves and the team never really had a star except for one, their captain from the beginning until 2 years before this story starts. Jason Rawski.

Jason Rawski is a lot like Trevor Linden. He wasn't the best at the sport, but he had a lot of heart and gave it his all in every game. The general manager threw a lot of money towards old rusty stars to try and bring star power to the team, but similar to the ranger sydrome, the stars faded and died in Seattle. Rawski never registered more then 70 points and always had a minus rating. But he was the only player to stick with the team for more then 3 years(stuck with it for 7 years.) He never got along with the gm and owner Andrew Gilbrovski, because Andrew knew fuck all about sports but he had a shit ton of money and invested it in these fading stars. On his 7th season Rawski got hit from behind into the boards and broke his neck and suffered a concussion. He wasn't resigned that year and retired. He became a coach for a minor league team.

Andrew Gilbrovski created the team in 2000 because he loved hockey and wanted to see it thrive in Seattle. When he got the team he traded away the first 3 years worth of draft picks for a high scoring incredibly expensive winger named Johnathan Grilveau who ended up breaking a leg in the first season and never recovering. Gilbrovski sunk tons of money on terrible decisions, signing goalie Trevor Richter to a 8 year 70 million year deal after 2 incredibly meh seasons. Trevor Richter is still the goalie, now 34. Hasn't won more then 30 games in a season and he has issues with his foot. Gilbrovski lost more then 200 million on the team and finally sold it to Grilveau.

So here is where we start the film, Grilveau just bought the team which just had one of the worst seasons ever in NHL history(12-65-5) Unfortunatly they traded away their first round pick for Colin Waynes. A calder winning center who won 2 cups with two different teams but failed to connect with the Peaks because of his cockyness. Grilveau interviews a few gm's and hears their pitches to fix the team, all of which are financial based and have a lot to do with spending to the cap, which Grilveau isn't willing to do. They go to Rawski and he gives them a simple pitch, let him be the coach and manage the team. Rawski's first move is to gather a group of aggressive young forwards(Chris Neil, Sean Avery, Brian Boyle)and and an experienced shut down defenseman(Micheal Rosival). He then switches the team from a defensive minded team to an aggressive offensive team.

At the start of the season Rawski makes a lot of big changes, he takes away the captaincy from Colin Waynes and gives it to the second longest player on the team(Rich Peverly). Colin Waynes makes some big whiney scenes until he gets cheap shotted and complains about it and the entire team turns their backs on him. Waynes then requests a trade and Rawski puts him on the trading block, but no one wants him. Half way through the season Rawski sees an opportunity to win with one of his players in the minors, someone just as good lemeiux, in fact they are related. Gabriel Scarlast managed to bring his team(that rawski coached) to the memorial cup the year before. Scarlast gets drafted this next season so Rawski decides to make the team lose on purpose. He also gets word from a young star that played with the peaks with Rawski until Gillbrovski traded him for another crap star(Micheal Grabner). At the halfway point the team is 10th in their conferance and the playoffs could possibly happen, but Rawski wants this team to win in the longterm so he proposes to the team that they lose on purpose so they can get the first round pick in Scarlast.

The small amount of fans left get annoyed with the play, and Grilveau gets mad at the idea as he loses a shitload of money. The last place position becomes determined by the last game, which is against the 29th place team. The team loses in an epic and slightly comedic fashion and in the offseason they get Grabner and Scarlast. They don't sign Waynes, but nobody else does either because of his poor play and terrible scandles. Grilveau tells Rawski that if they don't get to the playoffs this year the team is gone, going to Kansas. Rawski promises to get the team to the finals, and so does his two new stars.

The year begins with a huge up, 12 wins in a row. Scarlast and Grabner both get 15 points each. But disaster strikes as Richter(the goalie) gets a career ending injury. The backup can't handle the pressure so they have to resort to a 42 year old goalie from the minors who played on the team in the first season named Cosev. Surprisingly he gets 2 shutouts in a row. The fans return and the team becomes a contender. But Grabner gets injured and the team begins to falter. Waynes goes unsigned until the middle of the season when he pleas to join the team again as he has thought about his ignorance and promises to change. Waynes gets signed again and the team goes on to get into the 7th position of the playoffs. But Grilveau sells the team to a different market anyway as he lost way to much money even with the new fan base, it's too little and too soon. The team is due to relocate unless the team sells out every playoff game until the end of the playoffs, and they need to atleast play 10 home games to break even.

Grabner gets better, and the team plays it risky and purposely gets 3 home games in the first round. Unfortunately, they play against the cup contenders the next round. The teams main defender gets in an altercation that causes some incredibly bad publicity and gives him a 12 game suspension. The team becomes down 3-0. but they play 3 really close games and win the last one in triple overtime.

They get to the conferance finals where they bring it to game 7 where the last game is won with a penalty shot goal by the opponents team. Grilveau sets out a plan to get the team to stay and Rawski wins the best coaching award.

Delivery

Been getting a few new ideas lately. Got this one today, I'm not sure if it can work very well as a film but I'm going to give it a shot with this blog post.

Jeremy is a 29 year old courier. He has a 14 year old daughter he had when he was a teenager and a wife that cheats on him. He lives on a ranch that is a 2 hour drive from where he normally lives(downtown) because it's cheaper and the safest place to raise his kid. For his work he drives a 1992 civic si with some slight modifications. He's worked as a courier since he was 18 with the same exact car. And the car is reaching it's ends. He takes it to the shop and the costs outweigh the price of the car to sell. So he ignores the repairs and ends up paying for it, the civic starts on fire in the middle of the street after he rear ended a porsche. The porsche starts on fire as well and the driver sues him for it.

After dealing with a court case and hiring a lawyer Jeremy returns to his home and his wife files for divorce and demands custody of their child. Jeremy didn't see this coming and discusses his entire situation with two of his courier friends, one drives a truck and one rides a bike. The cyclist suggests moving into the city and riding a bike from a to b, the van driver tells him to apply for his class 1 and become a truck driver. For the time being, Jeremy stays with his cyclist friend in his hipster den with his 3 hipster roomates. Hesitant to cope with the bicycle Jeremy takes the week off to get his kid back and figure out a new living situation. Unfortunately, his now ex wife is already dating a super rich guy who lives downtown and she gave him a high priced lawyer, while Jeremy uses his defence attorney from his car accident case. Obviously, his wife gets custody and Jeremy only gets to see her for the weekend. After that Jeremy goes to find a place to live with an extra room while having it close to the downtown area so he can continue work on a bicycle. But then jeremy confronts his cyclist friend that he cannot ride a bike, and some lulz happen when the cyclist teaches jeremy how to ride a bike. After getting the hang of it Jeremy starts to do deliveries and finds out that he cannot rent a house in his price range so he ends up living with a bunch of mexicans in the exact same building as his ex wife's boyfriend. His ex wife still stays at the house with the kid. After awhile Jeremy starts to realize he will never be in good amount of shape to cut it as a bike courier, so he decides to use his last remaining savings to get a class 1 license. Through a miraculous feat Jeremy gets a drunk recently divorced instructor for his test. Hilarity ensues and Jeremy passes his test. Jeremy hangs out with his daughter for the first time since the split. They discuss his antics and her antics and generally have a heart to heart and she tries to convince Jeremy to go in a different direction other then courier services, since they are making his life incredibly difficult. On his first shift as a truck driver Jeremy has to go through a dangerous mountain path and ends up rolling the truck into a ravine in a hilarious fashion. Obviously Jeremy loses his job and goes back to the courier service, he earned enough from his one shift as a truck driver to get a newish car for his old job. He ends up with what looks like an awesome sports car, but it ends up starting on fire during a test drive and the dealership tries to sue Jeremy but Jeremy wins the case, but loses his license and ends up kicked out of the Mexican apartment.

Jeremy ends up back at the cyclists house and stays the night. The next day Jeremy goes and blames his civic for letting him down. Jeremy finally gets frustrated and unleashes his fury on the vehicle. It then occurs to him that he should finally do what he loves and go to school to become a transportational engineer to make sure his problems are never met with other drivers ever again. He goes for the interview and goes through all of his issues with the transportation system and how he would change them. He gets accepted and goes for a night out with all of his buddies, he admits that it was foolish not to move on from the courier path he chose several years ago, and he gets his an agreeance with his lawyer to get his licence back, but he opts to bike instead. In the closing shot he bikes along with his daughter, although he's slow as shit and nearly dieing from exhaustion.

The end is a bit weak... But I'll further realize this as time goes by.
